I love encouraging confidence, curiosity and independence in children. I am passionate In leading educators and children in a positive manner. Outside of work I enjoy hiking and reading.

SHAUNA NIEVES-YOUNG POW
I'm a Level 1 ECE with 3 years of experience working with 3-12-year-olds. I am working to obtain my degree to teach math to 4th-6th graders. I'm from Trinidad and Tobago, and have been moving around my whole life, so I love to travel and experience new things! I recently got a puppy, she is a corgipoo!

I'm an Educator here at Juvenescence. I have 2 years of experience working with kids ages 7-15. I am from Langdon and have spent the previous 2 summers as a camp counsellor. I attend the University of Calgary in a concurrent education program, with the end goal of being a special education teacher.

I’ve lived in Calgary for the past four years and have spent most of that time working in childcare. I’ll be attending art school this fall while continuing to work. I don’t take myself too seriously and believe that having fun is an important part of creating meaningful connections with children. My goal is to continue growing in my role and become more of a leader within the childcare field. In my spare time, you can usually find me hanging out with my various pets and my partner, playing my ukulele, or working on animation and other art projects.
