Winnie Ngure
I have been working with children for over 20 years and it has been such a fulfilling experience. I did my education course as well as my Early Learning and Child Care course because I always wanted to work with children. My passion is to nurture young children to develop and be responsible youth in our society.
Meet the Team
Abby Bulmer
I attended Juvenescence from the ages of 5 to 11, which shaped my early years. At 13, I began volunteering at the centre, which allowed me to give back to the community and gain valuable experience working with children. Recently, I started my university courses, pursuing a degree in nursing. My goal is to specialize in pediatric nursing, as I have a strong passion for helping children and supporting their health and well-being. While I am attending university, I plan to continue my work with children, as I believe it will enrich my education and provide me with hands-on experience in my field.
Katrina Darnayla
I am a Level 1 E.C.E., and I have experience working with children ages 4-17 and youth with autism. I have a bachelor's degree in Political Science because I am passionate about law, but I also have a profound passion for making a difference in the lives of children in all ways possible! I am a good listener, and I try my very best to ensure everyone—children and adults alike—is heard and seen.
Kyle Bautista
I am a Level 1 E.C.E., and I started working with children ages 5 to 12 during the summer of 2025. I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, but my family is from the Philippines. I am currently a student enrolled at the University of Calgary and pursuing an education degree. I am also a French speaker having 13 years of French immersion background. Apart from school and family, I am a big fan of 2000s rock and fashion.
Esther Kamau
I am a Level 1 E.C.E. here at Juvenescence. I moved to Calgary in 2023 to chase my dream of studying abroad, and it's been a rewarding experience for me. I have always loved working with children through volunteer work, which inspired me to earn my ECE certification and pursue a career in early childhood education. I am passionate about creating a warm, supportive, and engaging environment where children feel safe to learn and grow. I am also a huge fan of comedy shows.
Kai Areseneault
I am a Level 1 E.C.E. with ten years of experience working as a nanny before furthering my education to work with more children and families in a childcare centre environment. I have always had a love for childcare, even from a young age. I earned my babysitting licence at 12 years old, and after completing high school, I jumped right into nannying. In this new chapter, I am excited to work with more families and participate in the learning and development of more children. I look forward to working alongside everyone, continuing to grow professionally, and growing alongside every child I have the opportunity to care for.
Kelsey Tavares
I am a Level 3 E.C.E., and I have been working with children aged 3-12 for 5 years. I am excited to be back in a before- and after-school setting. I was born and raised in High River, AB, and moved to Calgary in 2021. I enjoy making meaningful relationships and connections with the people around me. My favorite aspect of working with children is actively engaging in their play; it's fun to pretend to be a kid again! In my free time, I enjoy spending time in nature through bike riding, walking, and camping, as well as cooking, baking, and reading.
